Our Academy is the ideal place for young people aged 4 to 17 to try their hand at golf and see if they like it.
How to Join In
- Just turn up at the confirmed time and pay £6 per hour for group lessons.
- Pay £57pa for full Academy membership which includes one free group lesson per week, (Monday Evenings April-September) use of club app, bar card for discounted soft drinks and supervised access to the course (at coach’s discretion) PLUS 50% discount on Saturday morning group lessons.
- Full junior membership costing £100pa up to 16 years old, and £170pa for 16 and 17-year-olds. In addition to the above, included is access to the course, an internationally recognised handicap, three free individual lessons pa, junior competitions and eligibility to represent the club in junior matches.
Group coaching takes place on the putting green, the practice area and range, and our state-of-the-art electronic swing studio, at the following times…
- Young Golfers, 9:00am – 10:00am, ages 9-12 (beginner/intermediate)
- Little Golfers, 10:00am – 11:00am, ages 4-8 (beginner)
- Junior Golfers, 11:00am – 12:00pm, ages 13-17 (intermediate/advanced)
- Girl Golfers, 12:00 noon – 13:00pm, ages 5-17 (beginner/intermediate)
- OGC Golfers, 13:00pm – 14:00pm, ages 10+ (advanced)
- The above sessions run on a ‘roll-up’ basis at £6.00 per junior (£3.00 for Academy Members).
- Suitable golf clubs and balls are provided during the sessions for those who do not have their own equipment.
- WhatsApp groups for all communications.
6 or 9 holes from the blue tees. Times to be confirmed via WhatsApp groups (Academy/full members).
- 5:30pm-6:30pm (a session tailored for those that haven’t got a handicap yet, the time spent here is about getting them familiar with the golf course, rules, etiquette and giving them valuable on course experience).
- 6:30pm-7:30pm (a session tailored for those who have a playing handicap, those playing in club/open competitions and those representing the club in matches, there is a focus here more on shot selection, course management and on course performance.

Meet Lee Brotherhood – PGA Head Professional
Lee turned Professional in 2005 and has 16 years of experience helping golfers play their best through expert coaching and custom fitting using the most up to date technology. Lee has achieved AAT status within the PGA through his commitment to continued professional development and is a qualified Director of Golf. Lee enjoys competing in PGA events and has 4 professional wins including the Worcs PGA in Strokeplay.
Joe is our junior academy coach and delivers all junior sessions on a Saturday and Monday. Joe joined the club in 2008 and achieved great success as an amateur including Warwickshire and Midland titles. Joe is proud to be the course record holder at Olton with 62 (-8). Joe decided to turn Professional in 2020 leaving a +4 handicap behind and achieved a full Europro Tour card for the 2022 season.
